I don't have a poison reference book, and was wondering if these have any value. On both the seam stops at the neck. The large bottle says only "poison", and the six-sided bottle says "not to be taken." I know that a lot of the "not to be taken" bottles are common, but this one seemed older to me.

Hello Annie, These are English poison bottles. They aren't really rare, but they sell all the time on eBay. The big round one is one that I don't see very often. Unfortunately, my book only covers American poisons, so this is only a guess but I would say $5-10 for the six-sided one and $10-20 for the round one. I hope this helps. Jim

Thanks for your reply. Here's a picture of some poisons I have, but I think that most of them are machine made.

That's a nice assortment. Your blue one is American, the skull and bones ones are German and the others are English. The German skull and bones bottles are worth some money-check them out on eBay. The clear English poison is different, I don't see many of those in clear. Nice poisons, thanks for sharing. Jim

HI ANNIE

I THINK THE FIRST ONE IN THE BIG PIC IS A KILNERS POISON. ABOUT £10-15, I RECENTLY SOLD A SMALL ONE FOR £90, BUT THAT WAS JUST LUCK ON EBAY
