My daughter found this blue bottle under or new house. The house was built in 1892, she is super excited about it and wanted to find out some info. It is blue or cobalt blue I'm not sure about 5 inches tall with a M on the bottom. It also has a cork with maybe a wick in it. Any info would help. Thanks

Your bottle is cobalt blue , circa 1900 . It is probably some kind of medicine bottle . Since it has no label or embossing it would have little monetary value , but it is a good color and it is old . I would keep it , in fact , I have one too .

I think I am wrong about the age of your bottle . After looking at the bottom of your bottle again it appears your bottle is an ABM (machine made bottle) made after 1906 and probably before 1930 . I don't know for sure . I can't help you with the "M" mark .

Hi, I show an M before 1916, and an M within a circle since 1916, to be Maryland Glass for Emerson Drugs.

did you find out more about the blue bottle you found.  I could not see the picture, but I think I found a similar one. Hopefully I can include a picture.
