they are not to common, they make a square one i have in the same color not sure what they had in the bottles, but i do know they had a huge part in insulating wraps that went on water pipes that were held together bye brass colored pipe clamps these wraps probably killed alot of people who installed these, since it contained a crap load of asbestos, almost every old building in the united states has this stuff in the basement not many residential homes had it though, the building i work in had 95% of this nasty stuff abated, but i found some under the old theatre i have connected to our building and on the wrap there was these daimond labels i peeled one off and on it, it said keasby and matisson... thats all i know....

keasbey & mattison

I think it was a Phillips Milk of Magnesia type product. They are fairly common around here.
Its funny they went from patent medicines to asbestos. Two great boons to mankind

I dug my first one two weeks ago, looks just like yours.  Common for a blue bottle but you can't go wrong with the color!

I've dug them here in Maine, I guess they had a great business. I researched the company once, they were on top for a while .

I grew up in Ambler pa there was a huge asbestos factory and a huge asbestos dump near my grand moms house. The factory used to be the former "Keasbey & Mattison" factory.
We used to find 100s of the little bromo size ones and the one you have there. The  Factory in Philly was later.
These square ones where a little harder to find back then.Belive it or not, I only have a few from my childhood,we used to shoot them with our BB guns when I was your age L'll digger
What the hell was wrong with me.
