If your new to this , get a probe rod. It is the most important thing in the arsenal for finding the old bottles. It takes some practice, but just this year I found seven ,take home bottles ,probing. This ,in a two hour time period.Im not a know it all , I just started probing this year! A suggestion for people just starting out ,using a probe , find some nice soft soil& bury a couple bottles , use your probe to get a feel for it.
