It's a codd bottle, but I can't tell you more than that.
Someone else should be able to tell you more.

Welcome to the forum!

Hello , the only thing I know of that has a cod stopper is a soda bottle. The name of yours puts me in the mind of it being English . I have never seen or heard of any other bottle that had a cod stopper , maybe some one else will comment on that topic . Many bottlers wanted people to return their bottles back to them for reuse . I heard once that they quit making the cod stopper because the kids would drink the contents of the bottle , and then instead of returnng the bottle , would break them in order to get that marble ! Fact or fiction , I am not sure.
