hey! thought maybe some of you guys that collected fishing stuff could tell me something about this little fishing reel idug today. it is only 1.75'' in dia. and is really cool!any info would be greatly appriecated

Is there any inscribed lettering anywhere? Or stampped lettering?

There should be something to indicate manufacturer at least.

Your reel looks very much like a hendryx.They are widely known for making raised pillar reels.Most of what you will find does not have a mark on it,or will only have a number.In working condition they are worth about 20 to 30 bucks.But if you have them polished they can even do better than that.
