The most dangerous bottles I have found to tumble are early small rectangular panelled medicines. The glass in the corners is sometimes paper thin. Round or oval bottles are the safest. As long as your flask doesnt have any bad bubbles, cracks, or other imperfections it should be fine. But of course there is some minimal risk in tumbling any bottle. You can reduce the risk somewhat by having it tumbled at a slower speed. The only 100% guarantee of not breaking it is to leave it alone.

I have never tried to tumble an iron pontilled bottle. Like to hear how people deal with those.

Nice bottle, Ive dug 3 of them this year alone all half pints and all broken to pieces. I also really want one of them, I just love that deer and eagle on the back. As for tumbling there is always a risk like everyone has said already and that flask pictured would take a lot of cutting to get out all that etching which might take off some of the embossing. Its hard to say however, good luck on what ever you deside.
