I think so personally, odd is always good if you ask me, it makes me wonder if it had a label above the embossing since the embossing is so low on the bottle.......Jim

Strange that the Bailey's doesn't look like it has a pour spout. It looks more like a med top than a beverage top.

Your other stuff looks great to me; especially because I'm not too far from Philadelphia. The scripted bottle I really like too. I have an 8 oz bottle with scripted writing on it and it's by far one of my favorite bottles.

Hey Mike,

Nice Bailey's, sir.

Rectangular aluminum tray featuring an embossed image of a bottle of Bailey's Whiskey.

"Est. 1837.
From a label (>1906) Bailey's Pure Rye, Bailey's Whiskey, Bailey's Rye Whiskey Blend Bailey's Fine Whiskey trademark 1-6-1874, Est. 1837. Display Ad, 1875 City Directory, p. 747: "Manufacturers of Bailey Pure Rye Whiskey and Dr. Stoever's Tonic Herb Bitters. Importer of wines, brandies and gins." William M Huey is listed at home address: 1713 N 22 nd.

The company used the brand names:
"Bailey's Pure Rye", "Bailey's Whiskey", and "Dr. Stoever's Tonic Herb Bitters."

Business name timeline:
Huey & Christ

Address timeline:
121 N 3 rd (1875-1884), 1207 Market (1885-1897), 1209 Market (1898-1909), 1308 Arch (1910-1918)" From.

There's a shield shaped ad for Bailey's about 1/2 way down this page of the 1909 Program of The Merry Widow.

It only said that to get around prohibition laws I would imagine, it was never "used" as a medicine....

Gerhard Markmann was a bottler at 1628-1630 Thompson from 1906 to at least 1914.
Emil Nott was a bottler 818 N 48th St from 1904 to at least 1914.

Nice set of Philly blobs.
