Vitalis hair slickum. There are alot of guys on this forum who have used Vitalis but not many will admit it. Women were supposed to want to run their fingers through your hair after you used it.

I hated that stuff. For some reason my hair was not up to par on Sun. morn., so I knew what that meant. The only thing worse was Butch Wax. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dOJI2SKhcQ

YEA ,do you remember the late 60s and in the 70s [after the hippies came about] and then the comercials called it "THE GREASY KID LOOK" I painted with a guy in the 80s that loved the 50s and kept his hair full of grease. When we had to sand a lot of ceiling sheet rock ,HE WOULD LOOK JUST LIKE WOODY WOOD PECKER! HEY HE WAS A GREAT GUY AND RAN MOONSHINE IN THE 50s JUST LIKE IN THUNDER ROAD![any one remember that picture, with ROBERT MITCHUM?] MY cousin would not go out of the house in the morning without BUTCH WAX! HE would stand in front of a mirror and get it just the way he wanted it.

I found an amber colored version of that when I first started digging.  I have a pic of it, just need to scan it.

Sorry Cap,
You're confusing Vitalis with Brylcream!!  Remember, a little dab'll do ya!!
How did that go????
Brylcream, a little dab'll do ya
Brylcream, you'll look so debonair
Watch out, the girls will all rush to ya
They'll love to run their fingers through your hair.

I can remember watching my brother comb his "DA" took him forever to get it just right!!

Char
