I have my parents hall tree.  I know it has been in my Dad's family for close to 100 years.  Where is the best place to find out details about it?  Type of wood, who made it,etc.  You all are so wise on bottles, I know there has got to be someone here wise on furniture.  I really appreciate being able to come here with my questions.
Thanks
Fran

The best thing to do is take a photo of it, write down any markings you find on it & go to a local antique store in your area.  If it is a local piece they may be able to give you history on the maker, etc.  Also go online & check out antique furniture appraisers that may be more knowledgeable than your local dealers.  Try try the Antique Roadshow website, they may have a list of the appraisers they have on the show.  Good luck!
