Those damn bottles will be there when the ground thaws. Anyone digging in that crap should be in theropy. Besides if I broke a nail I be hysterical. Prolly run screaming through the snow like my hair's on fire.

Lobey.

Ahh if your under the frost its pretty warm in the ground.  Just the opposite in the heat...best place is the ground.  But what remains the same is the care of the dug bottle in either condition.  In winter, wrap immediately in a sock, paper etc.  In summer, I keep em out of the sun and throw some cool dirt on em so they aclimate better.  Diggin is fun anytime.  HAR  But its the liquids that change.  Hot soup in da winter and cold gator juice in the summer.  We get our snow tonight....special thanks to the midwest.  haha

There's no frozen ground that a good spud -bar can't get through! I like doing dumps in this kind of weather. Once you get below the frozen ground it's business as usual.

I would like to be digging in the snow....no ticks or hornets and less sweating!   But the frost is kinda too deep....

My front yard. LOL

I think I'll wait awhile to dig, yet. Another 6-12 inches of snow forecast for tonight.

I think I'll wait too.  I'd rather be hot digging, than freezing and soaking wet.  More daylight in the spring and summer too.

Hey Ben, I knew you would chime in. For those of you who don't already know, Ben digs no matter what the weather. He just throws up a hooch and keeps at it.

Hard core I say.........

Fall and Winter are my two favorite digging seasons.Spring can be too wet,and summer too hot!As long as the frost is not too thick I am digging.Snow helps insulates the ground and keep it softer, let it fly.
