hello, new here. any info would be appreciated as to age ? use ? value ? etc..?

old green glass bottle or flask ? with applied lip (possibly folded over), measures 7.5" tall by 6" wide. kinda looks like a scientific boiling flask. lots of bubbles, free blown, open unpolished pontil. appears to have about 200+ years of shelf wear on the bottom. clean and well cared for by somebody ? ( also would it be what some call a onion bottle ) is it american ? please question anything i said, my knowladge of bottles is little, but always learning,,

thanks in advance...

Great bottle. It's called a globular (as in globe-shaped.) It's American, probably from the Midwestern states, especially Ohio and Pennsylvania. You're right, it is about 200 years old. I'd date it from 1800 to 1835. They usually held whiskey. Value is about $75 to $125.
