Am looking for someone to help me identify a couple jars. I think the first one is a ball jar but not one i am use to seeing../

I believe the second one is called a "packing jar".

Thanks, yeah I have that picture on my phone to help me sort the years when I am out looking at jars. I am guessing the first jar i posted is a ball, yet there is nothing embossed on it that says Ball. The logo looks similar to the Ball logo in the diagram you posted but its not the same../

The logo on your first jar is CFJ Co. - Consolidated Fruit Jar Co.  Actually predates Ball by a few years.  Appears to be a midget pint?  (pint size, small opening).  If that's a nice lugged lid, it books for $25-$35.  Second one is a packer jar, one side should be blank for the label.  Generally used for coffee, sometimes something else.  Not really worth much of anything without a label.  -Tammy
