Nice color on those. They are English beers, probably from the early 1900s. The sea is a great place to find overseas bottles that we ground diggers don't get to find. The ship crew members just tossed 'em overboard when they were empty. ~Jim

lovely specimens!  Wilson's of Newton Heath were around from prior to the 1900s til the 50s or so, as Jim I would put the bottle at early 1900s.

From doing a quick search on Leigh & Co, I found this page: http://www.bygonz.co.uk/groveswhitnall.htm

A reading of it would suggest - Leigh & Co were formed in 1885 but after 1899 all bottles were marked with Groves & Whitnall, so your the bottle would be dated 1885-1899.  However it also talks about amber bottles being produced, so I'm a bit confused as yours is green?

Hope that helps!
S
