i got on this forum because my dad left us a few years back and he willed his bottles to my little girl and of course i do not know a thing about bottles or there value.
but this forum is verry helpfull and i hope to be posting some of his finds as soon as it gets wormer here in michigan.but first i was wondering if any of you might know what this item is ??
it was also one of my fathers many finds.

looks like a polishing rig of some sort but i havent a clue??

Status: offline 		Welcome to the forum Trinibob...my mother once tumbled stones for jewellery and that looks to me like a larger version tumbling tub. The lid obviously closes quite securely, the outer circumference has the correct roundness and the tub shoulders are rounded. The items inside.....are they solid yet somewhat gritty and soft? If so, I'd say it was used to tumble some fairly large objects, exactly what I couldn't say.  Any idea where your Dad might have found it? That could help in identifying it. Good luck!

yea thats about whare i am also must be a tumbler of some sort but whare he picked it up (god rest his sole) is any bodys guess.
