I am trying to find the right forum to introduce myself. I was given a large collection of pot lids, pratt ware and toby mugs when my father passed. I have owned and cherished this collection for 10 years (his funeral was on 9/11, surreal). Now, I need to educate myself to what I own, assess it's value and plan my own "passing of the goods" to my children. Where, how, what is my question to you to begin this education. Do I take pics and post? Do I have to find an expert to come to my house and assess the value? Can I read current books which will clearly identify and define my collection? As you see, I truly a newbie. Please, any info or guidance is appreciated.

As we aren't primarily pot lid experts here; more so a bottle group we may not be able to help as much as another site could. But there are a few resident experts here that know their stuff on lids and pots. If anything good luck, pot lids can be great money and there's tons of varieties that make this a wide collecting area.
