I'm curious to find out something about this bottle I found today. It says it's 4/5 quart and from what I could find on my own, I assume it was made in the 60's but I couldn't swear to that. On the front it says "Federal law forbids sale or re-use of this bottle" and on the bottom it has a bunch of numbers and the Ball logo. It has (or at least it had) a screw on cap so I know it is at least somewhat recent. I haven't been able to find out anything about Ball bottles so I assume it's not very collectable and probably not worth anything but I am interested in finding out a little of it's history. Thank you in advance for any help you might offer.

Ball is the company who made the bottle.
What it held was some type of alcoholic beverage made after the prohibition of alcohol.
Sorry to say it isn't very collectable, but keep looking.

Here is your glass company.

Thank you for the help. I've been looking at some of the bottles posted here, and find it utterly fascinating. My fiance says I'm addicted now. There were alot of other bottles where I found the Ball bottle and I'm going back tommorrow to get them all. I'm also going back to some family land and go through the piles of bottles there. I never thought about researching the history of bottles, but thanks to this website, I'll look at every bottle I see differently now. Again, thanks for the help, and I will definitely come back for more history lessons.
