We all went home with great bottles....even some good color.  The first dug colored varient of a local soda came out.  A beautiful ice green I didn't get it but we dug an aqua one in aawhile back in a hotel dig and now my hopes are hi

Great finds. Is that vertically ribbed flask citron or some kinda green? Those have been attributed to the  Louisville KY Glass Works and even the ambers sell for $40 - 50.00 on eBay...Good luck on the remainder of the dig....

Nice dig. The green ribbed flask is sweet. I dig a lot of late 1800s flasks, but that is one type that I have not found yet.

Some of my favorite bottles have come from 1880s-90s pits, including local hutches, colored medicines and a one-of-a-kind local pharmacy citrate. ~Jim

Coupla thoughts:

1.  Nice digs.  Good luck with the second half of the hole!

2.  Your bottle users sure liked their whiskey!

3.  I'd like to see a picture of that colored soda (or is it the Hutch in the picture?)

Thx all
The marble is a dyed purple I believe.  I don't know what the citron amber bottle is next to the hutch.  it looks utility but really sweet.  The ribbed flask has a spider crack through it but intact and shelf worthy till another that size comes out.
Well I'm off to finish the hole!
We had all the neighbors out yesterday and secured a few more digs....usually how it works....
may the bottle gods be with you all today

Wow great stuff! and that sure does look like coal country. Do you live close to Blossburg Pa by any chance, its my grandparents home town always wanted to do some privy digging up that way.
