Hey Rick... I'm your neighbor over here in Clarks Summit. If you're waiting for the good medical professionals in our area to figure out whats wrong...I'm thinking you have a long wait ahead. My best advice is to get your Doc to refer you to someone in Philadelphia or Geisinger Danville. I was involved in an accident that broke my elbow and left me with terrible pain in my neck as well. Ortho. Surgeon for the elbow told me I was too young for there to be anything really wrong with my neck, it was just muscle strain/sprain and would eventually go away. Pain persists...go to primary care Doc, get an MRI, lo and behold, two healing fractured (think cracked, not broken) vertebrae and 3 herniated discs. Gotta love it. (before you ask, it gets better but you're never exactly the same again. You learn what sets the pain off then just don't do that anymore -g-) Also a FYI, it's in the opposing insurance company's best interest to draw court/a settlement out as long as they possibly can, unless you're willing to settle for a number much lower than the claim is worth and sign off it for good. This allows them to continue investing their assets and earning interest on that money that much longer. What they earn in interest helps offset the payout of the claim. Once the independant exam is done though, you're nearing the point where they're almost ready to file for a court date or (hopefully!) make you an offer, depending on what their independant doctors report says. (Independants normally but not always come after the depositions.) You, however, do not earn interest on the amount of your award from the day you were injured. Surprise surprise? In the meanwhile, if theres anything bottle/tumbling/digital photo-wise that you need that I can help with, please feel free to drop me a private mail. I don't know how to work a tumbler, but you do and I'm a quick study :) Best, ~Julie
