WOW, Have not checked this for a few days & surprised at all the Responses I got. Bill, Looking forward to you getting back & we can check that out, I've been wanting to dig/dump with you all spring, where you been? Antique nut, The Gold bud dates to around 1947-48 from what I can see from the Front. Really need to see the back to be sure, back will help date it if it has Opening Instructions & 2 patents others pending or if it's 3 patents. The other split label bud dates to around 1956-57. Bad news is both these Budweisers extremely common & not worth much in rough dumper condition. There are some rare Budweiser versions like the Bock, The Crowntainer cone top, ect. but most are extremely common. Privvydiggers those looked like common 1970's pull tabs but could be something worth while in bottom of box??????? LEON.

Antiquenut, Looks like a 3 patent O/I can. Dates right around 1947-49. I'll post a Pic of mine so you can see what it's suppose to look like, Mine you can see the 3 pats & the Opening Instructions which is just a diagram of how to use the can opener in the Round circle you cant read on yours. With yours some Acid would cleanup that can. LEON.

If you like Budweiser here's a Ineresting Pic for you. On those first Gold Budweisers they made at least 27 different small Variations of that can. LEON.

Tim, You oughta go back by the stream & look for more, Maybe you'll find some tougher brands besides Budweiser? What state is this in? Also, those you got not to bad of Condition, If you wanted too, you can send them to me & I'd clean them in Acid for you & send them back much cleaner, you may be surprised of the results? LEON.

I dug a bunch of cans recently, I saw your reply in my post.  There were plenty of Pabst, some Narragansett Beer and others.  There was also a bunch of oil cans and such.  A Rumford Baking Powder, and one with a masked man on the front.  I'll get some pics for you if you're interested.

Hey Leon,

Is that your Budweiser test can crowntainer in your group photo, and the only existing one known?  I saw on ebay in 2006 when it was bid up to over $23,000 but didn't meet the reserve.  Got some media attention, too.  If I remember right, it was relisted and sold but can't remember the final price.   Nice pick up if it's yours!

hemihampton  are any of the pull top cans worth anything ? I found a bunch in a basement that someone was collecting . They put holes in the bottom of the cans and left the pull tab intact. I can post a pic if you are interested.
