Capsoda, Thanks but those are a little to new for me, I only collect straight sided steel cans & older. No Aluminum or 1970's+ cans. epackage, are you sure those are flat tops? they look like pull tab cans. A flat top requires a Can Opener or Churchkey to open them. LEON.

The pic of your shelves clearly shows pull tab cans of this same era, so which is it Leon, you do or don't collect these????? I'm sorry but I can't tell the difference between pull tabs and flat tops or even cones.

I'm confused, if those 4 cans you pictured are pull tabs then why did you call them flat tops?. Yes, I got pull tabs & pull tab Pabst on my shelves. I got these pull tabs in the 1970's as a kid & display them for sentimental reasons. About the only pull tabs I collect now are early 60's zip tops & fan tabs. All others are worthless & can go in trash or recycle. I have zero interest in 70's pull tabs like Billy, Mash, or Harley cans ect. with 3,000 cans I got no room or shelves for these. By the way, you'd be surprised how many people call a pull tab a flat top, I see it all the time, No Insult intended, Why the hostility?

The 4 cans pictured are NOT pull tabs they are flat tops, I was a little insulted that you would assume I don't know the difference being a former can collector myself...

Your qoute to me..."epackage, are you sure those are flat tops? they look like pull tab cans. A flat top requires a Can Opener or Churchkey to open them." LEON.

I'm well aware what a can opener is Leon and I know what the term pull tab means...

OK, I see your right, they are flat tops. If you look at my very first post on page one I say looking for 1930's & 40's flat tops. Also said I dont collect crimped steel. The Blue Placers are crimp steel from the 1970's. The Pabst look like aluminum soft top flat top. From the front veiw the aluminum top rim threw me off, I assumed being aluminum it was a tab, did not think it was a aluminum soft top. The Pabst range from 1961-68 time frame roughly. I appreciate the offer but have the Pabst & they are extremely common. I'd recommend throwing on ebay possibly. No Insult intended. THANKS, LEON.

Leon you have great faith in those shelf brackets to say the least having them that far apart with all that weight in between....

Leon I also have what I'm told is a one of a kind Pabst Blue Ribbon display statue that never made it into production because it was too large. I contacted them years ago and they told me they used to get alot of advertising firms designing different statues and display pieces for bar backs and the like and that mine most likely was rejected because it was just too darn big. It is the Barbershop Quartet guys standing around a barbers pole singing, if you have any interest in such an item let me know...I'm assuming all hand carved ceramic pieces and there is no damage just the dust from sitting in an attic since the 50's.......Jim

It doesn't have Pabst on it anywhere, I figure that it was sent or shown to them for input but due to the size they didn't use it. It's not chalkware it's ceramic....about 20"long 15" tall and 12" deep........There is a number marked on the base #PBT-188

Jim
