Morbious, If these sets were limited to 5000 and they were made in the year 2000, How can they still be for sale? Is this a rip off? I bought my set back in the year 2000. Which site sells these? Put a link in for me, I cannot see coca-cola doing a remake of these, perhaps they are and are different? Why number and limit them to 5000 if they are still selling 7 years later? Thanks

I'm not sure if these are the 2000 set; however this set, or one very similar, is still on Coke's site.

Hey Morbious Thank you for all your time and looking However your right they look the same but they are not....take another look.
THAT SET THEY ARE OFFERING IS NOT A LIMITED NUMBERED EDITION 5000, 1900-2000 ANNIVERSARY. No red on the tag nor does it say anniversary on it.The Hutchinson one i have has an applied label on the rear, the one on the site does not. These are VERY collectible just trying to get a ball park value of todays date. Last i heard three years ago the book listed my set as going for $350.00.
I paid more than 65 in 2000 for mine. It is very close but ,NO  CIGAR! Once they do a LIMITED EDITION.........THAT'S IT......THEY ARE ALL GONE. THIS IS A SET THAT JUST SHOWS THE SAME SET UP, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED NOR ANNIVERSARY NOR ARE THEY NUMBERED. Thanks for your input anyway, anyone with knowledge of these "LIMITED 1900-2000" NUMBERED sets? Anyone with a coke book?

Note I did say one similar. You gotta love limited edition sets. Throw a bit of extra paint or a label on it and limit it to 5000, people will eat it up. Take off a label and the limited to 5000 note, sell them for $65 bucks, and some will even buy the same set again. This kind of thing happens all the time in the Star Wars action figure market, and sometimes I fall for the limited edition items as well. I personally would pay $65 for a non-limited set long before I would pay $350 for a limited. Of course that's just me.

Lot's of luck on finding out the information you seek.

Why would you do that? Go to a bookstore and just browse for your information. It's free at any good bookstore like Books a million, Borders, or such.

Yep...as MORBIOUS  stated: anytime you see Limited Edition you can bet someone is laughing up their sleeve and all the way to the bank.

I don't think the Atlanta Coca-Cola Company would make LIMITED EDITIONS Unless they are LIMITED. Never seen another one like this except another collector and i have NEVER seen one on good old ebay either. So, I will go and look in the book for free...Thanks, I forgot about the free library. Limited additions from other people i might be afraid of but not the coca cola company. Also, I have limited prints from Universitys', approved by Alumni. I would be skeptical to buy LIMITED from others but some like these are respectful and do number them. Cannot believe anyone on here has never seen a set of these, wrong web site i guess. lol.

They were bottle in San Bernardino, Calif. in the mid 50's.

They are pretty rare because people got upset with the face of the waiter being black when filled with root beer. Especailly with the name Uncle Tom.

Look MADMAN, You do not have to be so Insouciant and snide! If you wish to say something to me? Don't do it in that manner...."glad you changed the subject arrrg". How childish. Thought everyone on here was nice and helpful, not hurtful!!! So you did not like the convo? Get a life, You did not have to make such a callous statement like that! Try to be a little kind and watch what you say before you say it. Now you have me at your level.....Dang, Not even....lol. Have a great life!!! ARRRRRG!

Cool looking pop bottles.  I have kind of taken a liking to the ACL pop bottles the last few months.  I have noticed alot of different brands.  Yours are really nice and especially having two sizes.  Good luck with your collecting and thanks for posting the pics.   Paul
