Yep.  My little guy is sleeping.  We're letting him sleep in the bunk bed (for the last three nights), transitioning him from his crib, which he is very attached to.  Only thing, there are no bars to keep him in.  So, several times before he finally falls asleep, we hear the thump of little feet running around in his room, turning on the tv and stuff.  But after he does finally go to sleep, he stays there until morning.

Had a lazy day, so burning some night oil.

Yep, we're using the whole bottle.  The trial ones I have done look really good.  Some bottles have neck stuff, or embossed little things going on (stars, rings, etc.) that also make the bottle interesting, so they requested to use the whole bottle for its shape, size, and good stuff it had going on.  I think it will work well.  The photos you have put here are very good.  Just throw the whole bottle up there and we're good to go. :)

As for ACL people - we'll bring out the best in those hiding their passion.

Two years ago, at the Baltimore show, there was this man walked by the table and said, "Soda Fizz!  That $#&% Soda Fizz!" Then when he saw my face at his comment, he looked a little embarrassed and said that he had tons of (old, expensive) bottles on his table and hadn't sold a thing all day.  Then he said that the lady across the aisle from him had sodas and was selling them faster than she could take them out of the boxes under her table and added, "Looks like, if I am going to sell anything at these shows, I am going to have to learn something about these $@&^ soda bottles."  Then he took one of every issue of the Soda Fizz I had stuck on the table (and had me dig thru my box to see if I had more) and later, came and got one of the ACL books.  Then last year, sure enough, he had a good amount of sodas on his table.

Then, at the last FOHBC board meeting (in Collinsville), when the Fed Prez made his usual comment about not caring a whole lot that an ACL display won People's Choice award at Memphis' Expo, one of the other board members spoke up and said, "Before you say more, you need to realize there's probably at least ten times more of them (soda collectors) than there are of 'us'."  And yes, I want to make everyone aware of that....there's a bunch of us soda collectors out there - we just have to drag them out into the open. :)

Thanks for the welcome (and invite to come aboard).

Did you get the Fizzes out to those who requested them ?   (I have copies of Bottles and Extras too, for the 'other' crowd that I'd be happy to send too.)   There's also copies of the Third Edition of the ACL book for anyone who's interensted and doesn't already  have one.  The new book will have different stuff in it, so no need to forego getting the Third Edition of Volumne One to wait for Volume Two.  The other one has 1600 bottles listed in it - we are beginning the new book's count at number 1601...

So, if anyone wants to see a sample, email me and I'll hook you up with whatever you need.
Don't be shy, I don't bite....

Hi Kathy,   Yes I got my copy of your newsletter.  Very nice format I have to say.  I will be sending you some money for a membership.  I like all aspects of bottle collecting.

Although pop bottles aren't my main focus I can appreciate them and the folks that do collect them.  Thanks for sharing your letter, for offering the free copies of the newsletter(thanks to Pat also for letting us know) and welcome to the forum.
Paul
