To be fair and honest, GWB has earned his share of expletives from me at times as well . You couldn't pay me a million a year to be a politician. The comedian Gallagher had the most perfect definition of the breakdown of the word "politics" I have ever seen. POLY- numerous, many.....TICKS- bloodsucking parasites. Numerous bloodsucking parasites about sums it up on both sides of the aisle.

I'd say that I'd even be willing to dig a pit with Hillary, but I'm afraid she would want more than her fair share of the bottles for the "common good" . ~Jim

lobey...

Richard... I guess I hit a nerve when I brought up just "some" of the indescrepencies of bill clinton. I guess, in the end, it really does come down to a philisophical difference of opinion when it comes to politics.

But you, like others, have found it necessary to resort to name calling. Telling me I'm too "fat" to serve my country, when in fact, I served in the United States Marine Corps for 8 1/2 years. I was an intelligence analyst at the National Security Agency (NSA) and was awarded the Deffense Meritorious Service Medal (the peace time equivilent to the Bronze Star) for helping to identify an American spy who was providing intelligence to the Soviet Union about sensitive US submarine movements, locations and operations during the cold war. So don't even think about lecturing me about service to my country...

I salute you and your service to America...  You and I are great examples of what is right with the United States, being able to voice our differing opinions.  But why must you stoop so low, as to call me names?

While you were serving our country in Iraq, I was serving my town and my state as a police officer for 17 years.
Yea, I've been shot at... spit at... kicked... punched... and called all kinds of names, but I've taken over 1,200 drunk drivers off the road, I've rescued people from burning buildings, talked suicide jumpers off of the high level bridge on the border of NH and Maine... have been in countless high speed chases... so don't lecture me and call me names. I've been there bud...

Oh, and just so you know... to this day I am a comercial diver who crawls underwater over the bottom of LPG gas tankers (90 feet wide x 700 feet long)  45 feet below the surface, searching for explosive ordinance while the ship is anchored five miles offshore prior to coming into port. These ships carry liquified petroleum gas that heats many of our homes here in the northeast. Part of my contribution to homeland security after 9-11...

So... Yes, we disagree about the president... Big Deal. History will tell us who is remembered for what... whether for being Impeached or leading our country into war...

Still, that doesn't give you the right to be disrespectful to me and resort to personal attacks and name calling just because I voiced a difference of opinion. Especially on this forum.

I would have been proud to have served by your side under both Bush Senior (who I have personally met and spoken with on two ocassions in Kennebunkport) or under Bush Junior. I was embarrassed to have served under jimmie carter for his blanket amnesty to draft dodgers and I would have been disgraced to have served under bill clinton.

I support someone who has integrity... someone who stands for honesty,  moral character and family values rather than having someone bent over the desk in the "Oral office"...

And No, I'm not gonna cry... I'm a big boy... besides, I'm more of a John McCain man.  I don't care too much for Mitt...

Just my thoughts...

Wayne

Wayne you are the MAN!
Don't you all realize this forum is based out of England and you're talking US politics. This proves that tallking US politics leads to insanity. Our founding forefathers would be sick with whats going on and the UK is laughing at us.

Wayne the Train I truely meant no harm with the fat comment. Would have said the same thing to you if we where sitting at a table drinking Chivas out of grapefruit halves. We're fat Wayne...do another hitch? They'd pt us until we died and we'd still be fat. Have you ever dropped through the hatch of an M1? Tight squeeze nowadays. So enough with playing the injured victim. No need to display your medal to me either. I have a box of ribbons and medals myself, including a bleeding heart and a bronze star with attached V clasp. I'll have  them on ebay someday, i'll give you the forum members discount if you win. I like yourself need no lectures, I've done my time.
As for being proud to serve under G. Dubbya examine his service record and get back to me on it. He's a disgrace to the uniform.

As for you Digger George you have no place in any conversation concerning any of these matters. You've never been more than 100 miles from mommies house. Your feeling patriotic? Go down and inlist....until then shut your mouth. You've been nowhere, done nothing, and contributed squat to this country, so don't miss the next bus back to Boys Town.

Happy days boys
Lobey.

Thank you both for service! It is that service that allows us the luxury to bicker about what is right.I voted for Jr. and have been dissapointed in many regards but would still not choose the alternative. As far as Clinton, that's one hell of a legacy.Send the ILLEGALS back, build a wall, electric fence, mine fields, take your pick.

Lobeycat I take it you didn't agree with what I've said. Well fine but that was a foolish thing to say back. You make me look like an insignificant piece an of crap. So I have no say on the USA's matters untill I enlist. I chose not to enlist because I don't agree with what's going on. I am an American and would fight for this county. I would defend any matters I didn't agree with and there's many. Telling me to shut my mouth won't help. I dig bottles to get my mind off of this crap, to have something to look forward to, to stay out of trouble, but then a couple months ago I got thrown in jail for digging on an abandon lot, I got 24 hrs community service. I took care of that very fast because I've spent hundreds of hours restoring and preserving Philadelphia's parks, woodlands, wetlands and historic structures and for free because I care about the our enviornment and future generations. I just don't like how our freedom is being takin away. Lobeycat chill out bro.

George bro what's agreeing with policy have to do with serving your country? You want community service, adventure, go serve a couple of tours in the s**t and s**t it is. Sit in a tank with four close digging buddies until you smell so bad you can't smell anything. It's good for the soul, builds character, makes you wanna shoot something. Fun in the sun George, best tan you'll ever get. I still have tan lines around my eyes, hope they don't go malignant. But I digress...sign up George, lots of fun gear, chows great, free shoes, no rent, sure you might come home 80 pounds lighter but the gubberment will fit you with some nice, shiny titanium legs. no problem with wet feet in dem privies then

Marble is just a metamorphic form of limestone. Dont know about making it smooth but you can probably clean it with a mild acid. I'd start with white vinegar and then try dilute muratic if that doesnt work.

I agree with Wayne except about John "The sailor man" McCain. Politics wise cause you are fat Wayne, Just a little taller than your little fat buddy here. Doc says I have lost 20 since October, Nanna, nanna, boo, boo. I kinda like Ruddy myself.

Hey Lobes Dude. If you look very close at those sheets with all that perfectly ballanced budget on it it is signed Reganomics and is written on the skin of damaged vet like myself. If you look really close you will see my tatoo. They took credit for someone elses work. A great man who could no longer defend himself. Like that crappy song "Some Gave All", Clinton took all and you know I can't really blame him but Al gore needs the crap rapped out of his head. That idiot was boots on the ground in Nam and should know better.

Me, I lurked in the back ground with a small group of the greatest Marines ever in some of the crappiest stink hole countries in the world and waited for the right moment to perform my duty according to my training. I also used to step through the "black door into the abbys of night" as the gunners prayer says. The gunship that was lost in the first dust bowl had a crew that I had personaly trained and to go back I simply go to sleep. I served under one demo and two reps and the reps took care of me every time. The demos stoled from me so who am I suppose to trust. The demos who steal and lie or the reps who steal and share a little. There are  NO HONEST POLITITIONS, but I will chose my own devil every time.

Now when do we get some of them homemade noodles Lobes.

Cappy I'll cook for you any day. Laur. i'd cook for you everyday
Please don't get me started on Reagan. Reagan tripled the Gross Federal Debt, from $900 billion to $2.7 trillion. Ford and Carter in their combined terms could only double it. It took 31 years to accomplish the first postwar debt tripling, yet Reagan did it in eight.
