easier said then done around here...  I've probed over 40 yards with out a privy yet...  I've been working my way into the densest oldest part of town but we had a hurricane level the town, and then fire...  almost every yard I've probed has had four feet of fill in... Built on ruins!  Its a hard place to learn..  Other diggers I know in the are have given up completely on finding them, as most were shallow or trays anyway...

oh forgot about the snobs..  permission is very hard to get... bunch of conservative @#$!#

There shouldn't be a technical term when the word privy is used in a sentence
Get  metal rod, find hole in ground, dig out hole, fill hole in.
Some people have to sound like rocket scientist, for what? its
beyond me.If you like that kind of thing go build a rocket.

Privy digging is an art sometimes, but Rick has proof that anyone can do it.

I wish I was an artist!  It sucks knowing even if I do find them they will be few and far between, and most empty...  wish I lived in the cradel of American democracy sometimes... would love to dig a pine tree!

so your saying that everyone involved in my stories are liars? and yes Rick, anyone could dig a nice flask like yours, but thats not the topic. Would you like me to stroke your ego?

Notice to all my fans:

I'll be at the Baltimore bottle show in March signing autographs.

Tigger I know Thompson Conn. pretty well. got some old friends down there and there seems to be plenty of 1890 fgarms and such. I think theres even an old glass factory somewhere in town. you need to get your hands on some sanborn maps and pinpoint some prime targets.

Lobes.

Well I can use all the help I can get.  I'd love to come down to Philly and dig... but I have a few digging invites to fulfill...  I do extend the invitation up here, but let me warn you, it might be real slim pickings, in my local area at least...  I have few bottles I want to dig keeping me going since I live in a historic glass house town... know what I mean?  I'm pretty sure I could get the hang of it in a bigger town, especially with a little help, but I am after those certain pieces...

Now,we all know I love to argue like a 7 year old. But,for crying out loud this is someone else's post, again. If you don't like someone, start a thread about it and get booted. This crap of trying to provoke an arguement with every post is a joke.Privydigger posted  to show us his digs, not to read this crap.

Hey Lobes, I know Thompson, did some good digging there before it was all dug out!   Spent some time up there last year...

I have a lot of maps, but the Sanborns for CT dont show the privy's, at least in the bigger towns...  I want to hit those city privy's...

Wrote this awhile ago, and the ending seems to pertain to wannabe autograph signers.
Laur

If it doesn't snow,
I'll be digging fo sho.
Last week was nice,
But I wanna go twice.
A low-cut top, I'll show some legs,
Just give me permission
To get in the dregs.
No, not really, no bottles that hot
but I know some people
who would give it a shot.
They'll dig for hours, 'til they're blue in the face,
even though they're thinking about being on Myspace.
