I go mostly for the early bottles, hinge mold and pontils.  It's rumored they were blown in New London and I collect everything New London related.  I also have added any applied lips to the collection but I just couldn't find room for different molds!  I really only want one nice example of each mold design.  I just keep up grading the quality and crudity of what I have at this point.  I collect in so many different categories... I just cant let much go!  I have common t.o.c bottles like elys cream I'll never let go... even have three variants of those...

My Ayers are actually all packed except for one of the Backward "S" sarsaparillas...  I need some more room...

The discovery of electricity seems to be generally attributed to the ancient greeks, that and the beer keg I think

Seams to me I saw a History Cannel show about that. They attribute the discovery to the first cave people playing golf in a storm and taking cover under a tree.

hey digger don, most I've seen are a yellow amber tone.  A pure yellow one would probably be scarce considering it was most likely a fluke in the batch rather then a wanted color.  I know the Ely's dont sell to well but your yellow one might get a little more attention if sold.  Would like to see a pic!  Is it the heavy embossed type or just embossed on the front?

here are some pics of my little run.  The one to left I believe to be the newest, it is only embossed on the front.  The one in the middle was cleaned out, (for those who dont know a very hard thing to do), and filled with some powder stuff.  I figured it was a poison so I've never attempted to remove it.  The one on the far right I believe to be the earliest and it has a very nice inward rolled lip.  Yup, I like these little guys...  One I dug in Coventry CT while looking for "older" stuff, but the small farm dump I found sufficed.  Would of been nice to come home with a flask but I did light up when I found this elys!

Tigue  My ely's is shaped like the 1 in the middle with lots of embossing the front reads Ely's cream balm co owego, N.Y.   Right side  hay fever.  left side catarrh. It is yellow or the lightest honey amber I have ever seen . I will post a pic of it tomarrow afternoon. Thanks  Ps  The embossing is very heavy
