Hello all:
Need some help on a blob.
As we were driving around today in some small towns looking for yard sales.  We ended up in a town I grew up in.  Spent some time at this farm that was having a sale.  Asked about bottles and the guy told me to look at all the window.  They were mostly ABM and he was asking $3 each.  But there was tons of bottles all mixed in with the other boxes etc.  Found this PepperSauce for .50 cents and a cool blob Thou Shalt Not Steal appliedl ip etc for $3. So it was a good day.  Asked the guy how old the house was as we were talking about how I spent time here as a kid and he said the house was 1774.  He might let me dig.  Hopefully.  I told him he could keep the bottles I just wanted to dig it.  Anyway he also said he had a bottle that was like an ear of corn.  Are there Repo's of the National bottle?  I would think there are.

Another of my favorites.  I have a copy of this teal Pepper but I have to see which one is better.  Can't beat the .50 cent price.

That has to be one of the coolest embossed sodas I have ever seen. And the peppersauce was a sure steal for .50 cents!

Those are way cool

" thou shalt not steal" Could it be a Michigan beer with "pure and without drugs and poisons" was the result of bad water in the area around 1903 and a Blob Beer. ~Stardust~

I love that pepper sauce!!  Beautiful color to it, and it looks like the condition is excellent - definitely a steal at .50!

Thanks all.  Yeah I'm going back tomorrow to check the rest.  Wondering about that ear of corn though.
Are there repo's of that.  There must be.  Whats the price on the original?
Thanks for all the nice comments.  I was really surprised when I saw the peppersauce.  Didnt let it out of the hands till I was in the car.

I don't think the corn bitters was ever reproduced. There were some clear whiskey bottles shaped like that, but smaller and more squat, at the turn of the century.

there are a lot of repros of the ear of corn bottle Ben.  A few Wheaton's and quite a few others also.  I do not know of an exact reproduction though, except for one put out by a bottle club in the 70's that has the club name on it...  if it looks right and has national bitters embossed with the 1866 patent on the base you cant go wrong!

Thou shall not Steal blob beers are not “rare” but they really are not common either. The reason most of them say (THIS BOTTLE NOT TO BE SOLD) was that the brewer owned the bottles and they wanted them back to recycle and reuse. “What’s old is what’s new! In the hay day with all the breweries popping up the really shady ones would steal others bottles and just stick there label on it. So at some point a few breweries started to try and guilt others into not stealing there bottles and using them for themselves! I hope this little bit of info helps. By the way I collect blob beers, I have close to 500 different Massachusetts blobs and then another 500 from other states and I do NOT have a thou shall not steal one! I like the peppersauce too. And sorry I can’t help you with the ear of corn but seeing as where it is I may think it is original!

I'm pretty sure the National Bitters bottles where never reproduced and always command a good price. $500-$600 for the ambers and the price shoots up for the colors. There are other figural corn bottles out there that are whiskey's as well as a few in carival glass that are in the $400-$500 range.
If you want to sell the S.P. spiral I'd be interested.
Lobes.
