Two hours later I finally get this post to work anyone else having problems?
had to go back to IE it solved the problem.

Anyway beautiful bottle and sweet story. I'd keep that bottle and write the story all about the bottle and tuck it away in a safe place. You may need it one day as retirement money. But if you don't and you have children that's something nice with a family story to pass down. You might have to go out and put some insurance on that baby tomorrow. It's a beauty!

Hi and thanks!  You know about 3 hours after I posted it on here we had a tornado pass through with baseball size hail!  Blew out 7 windows shredded the mini blinds and draperies, soaked the whole place.  Roof will need replacing, it lifted the garage roof up a couple inches. My new truck and the car look like they have a bad case of acne along with a cracked windshield.  Pulled a small giant of a china berry tree out of the ground, the dutch elm tree had 3 huge limbs facing north..... they now face south,  broke off up in the tree   wwwaaayyyyy up in that tree.  It really looks like a bomb went off here!!!  BUT the bottle is safe!!! And you can count on me getting insurance on it as soon as possible!!

Thank you! All you folks here are wonderful and very informative!  I'm very glad I found this site!!  Now if I can just find a digging partner here in Central West Texas Maybe I'll have more to show!!!  I have a couple boxes full and was going to go through them today just when the baseball size hail and tornado hit my house!! I don't have to worry about whether or not I closed the windows now......... I don't have any left!!!  The bottle is safe and I will insure it as soon as I can find a company that does that........anybody have any ideas on who insures bottles ?

Thanks,  The color in the picture is just about as close as it gets. When it's held up to a light it looks amber, dark amber.  What year  range would you say it is in age?

that is one cool bottle to have found! I think one was sold about three or four years ago by Heckler that went between 8000 & 9000. not including comissions etc it was very yellow. Not amber.

WOW!!!!!  that is exciting!!!!  Do you have any idea what I could do with that much money!!!  LOL  Especially after that tornado hit my place yesterday!  It's going to take weeks to get this place back in shape! Today i fixed about half of the broken windows, finish them up tomorrow.  Now it's just wait for the insurance adjustors to show up and do their thing.  But Mom and I are fine even though our quaint little homes are a wreck!

Hi I was just getting ready for bed and read your post. Is there anything you need that you would help right now?
I don't have much but I share or often find what people need. I'm so sorry to hear what happened. Where do you live?
I lived through a freak tornato very scarey. If you need some ask, put it out to the universe. If I have something you need I'll send it to you. As you do it comes back 3 folds. Most of the people here are so nice. Couple of snakes in the grass other than that it's home sweet home. So step right up and don't be afraid to ask for anything. I'll check back or better yet you can pm me as I can't keep my eyes open any longer. I 'll say some prayers for you and your family as I fall into bed in about 2 mins.
God Bless, houses can be repaired, you are safe and sound, and you said the bottle was safe.
We should all be thankful tonight.

Stardust,  Thank You so very much for your prayers and concern.  We are fine and as soon as I get the rest of the windows replaced I'll start the clean-up process.  All I need is time and muscle........ more energy would help. But I started working on the place about 7 am and finally had to give it up at 9:20 it was to dark to see! tomorrow will be better I don't have to drive that 100 mile round trip to town for plexiglas and plywood! I got plenty of it today.........at least for a few projects!  Getting the windows fixed is my number one priority!  I'm about half finished with them.  The miserable part is the "adjustors " want to see the damage before I do anything..........but I'm not going to sit here without any windows! We're expecting more rain!!! The leaking roof is bad enough but the wind and rain coming in is cold!!!  They can look at the broken glass in the garbage cans for proof  if they want too.  Poor Mom, she's 82, is washing all the wet stuff while I work on the house. It was scary and I pray to God I don't ever have to go through it again!  Thanks again but really we are fine and don't need anything .......maybe a back rub......... but a hot shower will do just fine too!  Thanks again! Sheila

Bottles on the brain is so true right now!  That bottle may end up being my salvation!!  LOL  I called the auto insurance company to file a claim,  the lady ask where the truck was?.....(me).in my driveway......... (her)were you driving it?..........(me) uh, no.....(her)was it parked?  (me) yes......(her) is this your residence?  (me) yes.........(her) Is this where you normally park your vehicle?  (my first thought---No Stupid I Park At The Grocery Store And Walk Home!!!! )    (what I actually said) Well Yes.    (her) Can you prove there was a hail storm in your area?  (me, beginning to lose my cool) Just drive through town, ask anybody, call the police dept, the weatherman the news station they even showed up here!   (her) Okay then we won't find you at fault.  (me) Well thank you!  that's kind of you!   Now tell me how can I or anybody be held 'at fault ' for a hail storm whether you are driving or not!  How do some people make it through life being that stupid!  lol!!  I guess she thought I was stupid enough to go pound dents in my truck or something!  But after the last few days I've had around here I was in no mood for stupidity!  The home insurance claim adjustor hasn't called yet, but I repaired the windows anyway.  I'm hopping he's not as stupid. He can look at the broken glass in the dumpster and the receipt from Home Depot for the materials but I'm not living here without windows!!!  and I know he won't be here until some time next week!    lol!!
