He loves digging with me and most of the time out there we are goofing off, throwing dirt clods at each other, that sort of thing. I dont take him when I want to do some serious digging but that is rare because he often begs me to take him and I'm a softie and take him. I thought about that when my son had a sand box but he wasnt interested in playing in fine sand so we got rid of it and he would rather go on a real dig. Neat idea with your garden though.
