That is an infamous find in the history of the hobby! Believe it or not, there were a few insulator collectors present at that dig, and word of mouth makes it around really fast - especially with a piece like that! The listed colour is probably one of the most unusual I've ever heard of. "Raspberry Puce" the colour is apparently called. Hah! (in reply to Brains) Post #: 63

I was just wondering if you were coming back to amesbury ? I was talking to my metal detecting circle and heard of some nice areas that produce bottles but im not sure what era there from though . I have been told about some possible areas from older folks around where the first families settled my town also .
