Hello,

I'm new here but am fascinated with this site.

Can anyone here identify the bottles/decanters in this photo.

They definately date to the mid 1960's or before.

They also should be over 12 inches tall.

Thanks

They look to me like Art Deco of the 1920-1930 but probally still produced today.
Can't tell without size if decanter or cosmetic bottles, here is an example of a perfume.

Perfume, green glass cube top and Sq. green glass body, fluted corners $65.00

I sure hope that's perfume. I don't think it would be a good idea for that to be alcohol..imagine how dangerous it would be to handle those while drunk!

David E,

Thanks for the reply.

The decanters/bottles are roughly 12 inches high.

You mentioned an example. Was there an attached pic?

Thanks,
Rromage

If Blenko, I would think they'd have a pontil. ...do they?
Most Blenko I am familiar with is also brightly colored glass.

Whiskeyman,

Again, thanks for coming to my aide!

I'm a newbie and am not sure what a pontil is. Does it have something to do with the mouth or opening?

Also, does Blenko refer to a type of glass or a manufacturer name?

Thanks for the education!!

Best,
rromage

A pontil is a rough circle on the base of a bottle that was used in the mid 1800's to make the bottles. Look at these examples. Good luck finding info on your bottles.

Tony14, Thanks, I now know what a pontil is!! Very kind of you to share.

Whiskeyman, Truthfully, I don't know if it has a pontil. I do however, think that it is probably made of crystal if that helps.

You guys are great,

Try posting a pic of the bottom of your bottles. That should help ID them.

Thanks for the advise Tony14, but I don't have the bottles at all.

I only have a few pics, none of which show the bottom unfortunately.

I figure if I can identify them then I might find some for sale.

I'd like to add them to my collection

RROMAGE...Blenko is a glass company that made all types of colorful blown art glass: bowls, decanters, cruets, vases,etc...While your decanters may be crystal, I don't think they're Blenko but probably some import glassware, maybe French or Czecholslovakian...They may even be Baccarat...Search Google.com for Blenko & Baccarat and all kinds of sites can be found for browsing.
Welcome the the Forum and,,, to the Hobby.

hey all: I can't tell, but do the stoppers/application tip reach into the bottle? Many high-end perfume glass bottles/makers have the stopper/applier which dips several inches into the bottle. This may help you identify a maker and or their value. Good Luck,Mike
