Doug, Sorry dude, I am having enough trouble keeping my household permit for displaying my bottles/crocks = my wife would flip if I started collecting "those nasty rusty old pieces of junk". Years ago when I lived in Cincinati I was into bottles and beer cans equally, I was fortunate enough to live on the old county (Boone County, Ky) fairgrounds and was the first to do any digging = hordes of cans. I really liked the cone tops, and the popular brand at the fairgrounds was "Barbarossa Beer." I had several gorgeous (they are very ornate cans) quart Barbarossa and other local cones on display in our utility/treasure room. My maw loved my bottles but couldn't stand the cans. One day I came home from school to find she had thrown my entire can collection away. I was distraught for some time, to this day I have never resumed collecting cans - when I have found good ones I have always given them to a buddy of mine who is a collector. Most of my Ohio stuff is in the 1880 -1900 range = hutches, ponies, export/champagne blobs - think you want older stuff (you are not alone).
