Lordbud, you are right on. I have said for some time that local druggist bottles were underappreciated/ underrespected by many. I can't speak for every town or area, but I'm sure that many of them are similar to mine as far as these bottles are concerned. Anyone who wants a Lewistown, PA hutch, blob beer or milk bottle can get them. All it takes is a little cash and a trip to an antique store or two. Druggist bottles are an entirely different animal. There are ZERO on the market here, and believe me, I look for them more than anyone. The small number that are around are in a few private collections, plus a few in our local historical society's museum. Most people that I show my druggists to have never seen them or even knew that they existed. Many of mine are unique or have only 2-3 known examples. There have been old dump diggers here for decades, and lots of privies have also been dug. The druggists just don't come up often, and those that do quickly disappear. There will always be collectors who could care less about these little clear 1880s-90s druggists, but that's cool. Everyone has different interests. However, I am happy to see that the druggists are starting to be appreciated. ~Jim
