Any time you can save someones friend, no matter who or what it is, it makes you a better person. Not to mention the piece of mind. The dog looks like a Silky Terrier. They are very dependant dogs and it must have been terrifying for it to be traped in that manner for two days. I have unfortunately seen the results of that kind of death for many animals from horses to cats. It is never easy no matter how many times you see it.
