Hey Mike did I ever tell you the story about the little insulator? One day Paul and I were walking by the tracks,we were doing what you said, checking the side of the hills for down poles. We came across a old pole still standing with a few insulators on it.We spotted this very small insulator,we don't know squat about insulators but we saw a very small one in a book once and it was a good one.We thought the little guy up there was $$.So we started to think on how to get it down.It was a very tall old pole in the middle of the woods near a set of abandon tracks. Our first plan was to climb it with tree climbing gear(rope & saddle)I hate heights so that was out. Then I had a brain storm lets cut that bad boy down!We came back the next day with a chain saw and started to hack away,That thing came down and took a few trees out with it.We where exited! went over to clam the prize and.....that dam thing was plastic!!! Just a prime example what we do for old glass. All that thinking and planing and work for a stinking piece of plastic! gotta love it
