If i still had the storage space for 3-4000 bottles, I might have taken all of them, but after carefully searching thru every crate, I am glad I didn't have to do that. 200 bucks for the 300 best specimens of my choice works much better for me.. a LOT of the rest were broken, cracked, chipped up.. many more were recycling quality.. I am very happy and the guy is a really good person! I am about to start up day 3 of bottle cleaning... again thankful I didn't take any more of 'em!

Yes Cap, I do.. not that it ever happened before! 52 flasks new to the hoarde, not including the 2 that were cracked and a few more soaking.. the ones that clean up well will end up holding homemade brandy.. if they survive the trip to Romania.. a crazy hairbrained scheme, but it keeps me going!

The way I look at it, $200 for 300 hand picked bottles is a deal. An extra $100 would have gotten you the lot but what you got was the choice of the lot. Looks like you saved $100 to me. WTG Charlie.

Thanks Jim and Jame.. Jim I don't have any Patersons here, but glad you had luck at the shop! Jamie, that guy is an auctioneer/entrepreneur, not a digger.. I still don't know where he got them, but dig them I do indeed!!!

Lucky guy that Charlie shared the place with you !!   The prices that they are selling the quarts in that store are very cheap try to find any of quarts like that @ a bottle show for less than 60 bucks and your doing very good..     The guy selling the quarts there is getting married and buying a house so he is selling off a collection that took years to amass..
