Very nice metal tokens and buttons! The Eagle and anchor is similar to one found near the Hatchie River last year. See in the center of the photo.

WOW! Love the civil war bullets and the musket ball! How did you spot them? Did you use a metal detector. At first I thought the button was eagle, globe, and anchor. But it looks more like an eagle with an anchor in its claws. My eyes are getting bad.

Yes , I use a metal detector, an old White's 4000. This is from an old 1920's home site, the Forrest Place, legend is Cousin Nathan rested his men here during his forays in this part of the county.

Hi  CreekWalker;  I think the ring with the heart in the cross over was part of a harness or bridal leather set-up.  Interesting stuff - ready for WD-40.  Red Matthews

Nice finds!  Esp. the tokens and buttons.  I've dug a few of those eagle buttons at a site where I find WWI buttons.  However, I've found Civil War buttons there too, and that eagle style is always very worn compared to the others.

Thanks for the info, Red on the harness ring. Sorry about the late response, lost this post. Their are some great civil war items left unfound here in west tn. I'm still looking! Have a great weekend.
