Jeff,

Another comparable would be the double handled pieces similar to the one Jeff Evans sold last spring, which had identical characteristics and had always been attributed to Mt. Vernon.

Part of the problem for me is the "misinformation" that has circulated for decades (usually in auction houses) attributing these threaded pitchers to Redford. There seems to be some gray area (for me) as to who produced what in these NY state glasshouses.... I need to do more research. Further, does anyone have any concrete information regarding glassblower Matt Johnson... did he work in New York... when, where?

Mike

Absolutely agree with you Mike.  The vase on plate 69 is the spittin' image of the now two sold by Jeff in the last couple of years.

As far as the story of Matt Johnson goes have I not shown you the info from the 1940 Vermont Quarterly?  It places Johnson is Harrisburg (ostensibly headed East from Redwood towards Keene/Stoddard) in 1841...

FWIW, the documented Redford tableware I have seen is of a different quality of metal than those attributed to Mount Vernon or Cleveland...
