Hey aren't half of those mine?!  Rob's little bro here.  Eagle Ford Shale is definetely one of the richest fossil concentrations in Texas.  It's a shame it's all being developed now.  I actually found an entire, perfectly preserved xiphactinus audax fossil one time.  It was the largest predator true fish to ever roam our fair marble ( http://www.oceansofkansas.com/xiphac.html ). I was on private cattle land, and was merely hunting shark teeth so I didn't have any tools, but I was able to dig out the head and 4 vertebrae.  Looking back I should have called the experts and had them extract it whole, using plaster, etc......but alas.  I donated it to the Dallas Museum of Natural History (claiming that I found it in my Grandad's garage, of course), where they rotate it out for view on occasion. The rest of the body is still out there, if anyone wants to brave the bulls and buckshot...........

Yes, half of these are yours and they are in a safe place. How did you do on those trees? Any champs? I've been getting skunked lately as far as finding bottles and might go shark tooth hunting on my next day off. If you get a chance, check out some of my bottles I have listed on ebay. botldgr03 (case sensitive) on ebay. Check out my completed also. Wish I had one of those true Augusteiner's. You got me pretty good. Have you been watching any World Cup?Your bro, Robert

I was just kidding about the teeth!  You are the keeper of the family collection:)  Regarding World Cup, I watched the USA get robbed against Italy....other than that I haven't had time.  I'll check out your eBay auctions tonight.  Hope you are doing well with all that.  I have found some impressive trees.  I'll have to elaborate in a direct email.  Prost!!

Well, my 12 yr. old boy Casey and I went shark tooth hunting for a few hours today. We really didn't find a whole lot as far as quantity, but we did find some quality skate's (ptycodus) specimens, a vertebra, and a few nice shark's teeth. It was just too hot to do any bottle digging today. Robert
