Hey Ryan and excited digging travelers -
IF INVITED, I'd like to shoot up that way and record this (pics and write-up) and of course do some shoveling/scratching. I see a lot of unanswered Q's in this thread though. I'd love to stay where most are staying, for many reasons. Looking forward to the details ahead.

Hey Meech, Any forum members are invited, even me, but i won't be able to make it. Had a cousin pass away a few weeks ago and it's got all my old folks stired up and wanting to go to all the Peacock family reunions and that pretty much depeletes any traval funds I have saved up. Gotta take care of my old folks.

I do expect to see tons of pic and vids along with stories out the ying-yang along with group shots and names.

I wish everyone a great time and many bottles.

Just wondering if this forum dig is going to happen?  If so we need to know location, time, parking, etc etc.  Please keep us posted as some of the forum diggers that were inerested or are interested in this dig live far away and they should have some advance notice.  I will keep looking for an update and if nothing buy thursday night, i will just assume that the dig is not going to happen and will use my backup plan and go to the drag races in n.j.  instead.

Later, P.A. Digger

I agree PA Digger -

I don't want to, but I'm going to have to back out if I don't hear something in a day or so. I need to secure a hotel well in advance and for Fri. and Sat. nights.

Waitng for details --------------

sorry but cant be on long right now have to run, but the forum dig as of now is going to be postponed. Reason being that alot of you would have been very disipointed with the location and the dump itself. I will explain later but I have to run right now. What we need is someone to think of a new dump location.
Sorry everyone

Ryan

I'll tell you what guys and gals...I have a very deep dump, that has plenty left in it......if you still want to have a forum dig, this place would be great and holds plenty if you want to dig it deep. This dump covers about 20 acres and is almost ALL blown stuff.....my partner and I know this dump like the back of our hand and would be glad to assist. The only catch is it will be in NH....not PA. We can even do the same dates. reply to this post if your interested. Also, I would like to have someone come along soley for the purpose of taking video/pictures to document the dig. I have found some really nice stuff in here and would not mind sharing the site.... those who reply and get a PM from me are invited....not everyone will get an invite so don't be disappointed....we only can have so many diggers on this site at one time. I can send links to mapquest for directions and lodging to those who are invited. Oh yeah.......GIT ER' DUG!

Yeah WOODY......it's one of the many OLD Manchester dumps.....the one on the river......you want in??? You have an automatic invite cause your from NH and a moderator. I have found many good bottles in that dump....but ya gotta go deep on it.......Still plenty in there too! I have permission to dig there anytime I want from the chief of police and the mayor....so I don't think there would be a problem rounding a few people up for a nice forum dig!

Hey Dirtflicker, I would love for a chance to come up and dig for a bit, I'm right outside of Brockton, Mass.  I'd love to come if you would have me (and the 1 hour drive as opposed to a 5 hour drive isn't bad either)

the hole here is over 20ft deep and dump all the way to the bottom.....if you have what it takes to dig a good hole....you should do fine....if not....come up anyway and Brian and I will give you plenty of keepers. I hope this gives you all an idea of the site you will be digging on. Please send me a PM not an email....for some reason I cannot get my email straight in this forum....I hope the admin can help me out with this....going digging now but I will be on later to view the replies.

DF

Is that green flask in the pic a SSP?  I've got one of those, great bottle!.  As far as 20 feet deep dumps go, I've not had to go past 5 feet so far, but I am more than willing to see "how low I can go"    .  I'm sure a lot of your throwbacks are keepers for some of us, so there should be a lot for everyone!  This weekend would be great, since I was planning on going to the other dig, what does everyone else think?

Depending on which weekend you choose I will be there. I am only 50 minutes away in mass and even if I dont get the coveted invitation to dig I would still like to go up for some laughs and meet some really cool people. Oh yeah and watch dirtflicker work his magic at moving some really sick amounts of dirt.
