I wonder how a milk from Danville Pa. gets all the way out in Ohio at a dump?????

It looks like Rt 80 would be the quickest.

Actually US 70 E is the fastest outta here, but most of the original settlers came in on the Zanes Trace.  St Rt 22 follows the Trace pretty closely now, though a straighter shot. BTW, Eric, my wife loves your sig., she nearly pi$$ed herself the first time she read it.

Went out and hit it with Shag for a few today, man this place is full of really nice, broken bottles.  Dug a few ground lip Masons, some blob beers, tons more pottery, embossed meds, all broken.  I SOOO much wanted to dig one of these whole.

Inside the lid is embossed PAT. Jan 29, 84.  Also found a (woulda been)beautiful red glass pitcher in pieces.  First old red glass I've ever dug.  This place has some more good pieces in it, I can feel it.

Jason, did you get any pics of the hole today?  If anyone sees anything familiar in this post, please, fill me in, I'm clueless.

Well, there's still hope.  Stopped by after work and dug for an hour, found what I think is a utility bottle.  Flat and very large lip, clear, unembossed, ground and polished pontil.  I'll post a couple pics in a little while.  This was at the top of a new hole, so wish me luck.

I put this in the "it shouldn't have made it through" category.  That big ol lip, and though it's not extremely thin, it's not the thickest stuff out there.

And I know some are thinking pontil, what pontil?  It's hard to see, but it's there.  It was obvoiusly ground off, there's a noticable difference in the thickness of the glass, but seems to have been refired to polish the rough off.

The design goes all the way around.  Anyone know who made it?

Don't worry man, I've been stacking all the ones that have all/most of their pieces.  Got your glue ready?  I think I'm going to bring the green glazed one home to glue also, but it was dark and I forgot it today.

Did some digging in the dark tonight.  Found a couple new ones to me.  The second one back in the 3 on the left is a strap side bottle, with no seams, and an applied neck, not just the lip.  The base feels like sand, and it seems to have the letters either P, F, or R on the left of G.

A BIM strap sided warranted flask(super crude and turning purple), and a "three in one" which is applied, but different than I've ever seen.  It has an S on the base and a dot in the corner.  It's also very heavy, and still had its cork.

Also dug another broken cure from Logan,OH, and several other pieces of embossed meds, an aqua cone ink, and a blown glass oil lamp base with copper pieces.  All broken  Any help? Anyone?

Well, I think this hole has been tapped.  Jumped over to the new spot before the rain ran me out.  Found a couple unembossed meds a couple inches down.  Haven't found the deposit, just residuals.  I need to take a comealong with me to move a couple large trees out of the dig area before I go any further.  Thanks for all the replies.....
