These are my 2 latest finds.  The 1 gallon bird crock has some glaze issues and the 3 gallon flower crock has a hairline crack but I got them both at a very good price and could sell them on Ebay for a good profit.
I think I'll keep them though. They are nice examples.

that sure is a nice A. Conrad ya just sold. It used to be when I was young watching my dad deal in antiques that you couldn't hardly sell a damaged piece of stoneware. Today though you can sell the shards if they're nice enough. My dad collected stoneware back in the early 70's and sold out not long after. We went to the late Dr's auction who bought his collection down in wythe county Virginia in hopes of buying a couple of pieces back, in the late 80's, with no such luck. The one piece I believe was a 3 gallon with freehand decoration, brought nearly 3 grand. We came home with our tail between our legs. The jars with the makers names go for less than the ones with mercantile names and smaller towns on them. You can have a jar made by and marked T.F Reppert, Greensboro Pa. worth $200. Just as well you can have a jar made by the same maker but with a store owners name and the town and it can be worth many times that amount. It all depends on the town, the Proprietor, and of course the decoration. Well I've run on at the fingers enough here. Ahh the good old days and seeing fighting eagle 20 gal. crocks are long gone. Now I get excited when I see a nice freehand wax sealer. Good luck on selling it. And if you don't get atleast $100 for on ebay I'd be very suprised. Here's some eyecandy for ya's. The jug is debossed "J. Miller / Wheeling Va."

Here's one more stone jar pic. This is a " J. Weaver" From Beaver Pa. if I recall correctly. it's has 5's debossed into it under the lip. Awesome jar sittingin my neighbors kitchen with with trash bag in it! I'm working on him to get it. I just haven't found the right trading material yet.

Zane, that Weaver is a beauty, nice, early semi-oviod and worth LOTS !

I have a 3 gallon ovoid jug similar to the one in your group shot. It's huge with a nice red clay and a simple cobalt swipe over the capacity #. It's one of my favorites.

sry about the bad pic and not getting a new on up but pot is at friends house who i wont see till later in the week, but the good thing is that it looks brand new with no rust stains on it at all.  It has no chips, cracks, and just looks amazing.

<<Awesome jar sittingin my neighbors kitchen with with trash bag in it!>>

And here I thought I was the only one silly enough to do this with a large crock...mine is no where near as valuable though, so it does double duty as a planter in the summer and a (sorry!) garbage container in the winter months so it doesn't crack

Really nice crock Soccpacker, congrats on your find!

Best,
~Julie

I was told this Greensboro Stoneware pot was worth about 300.  Was wondering what people think and if anybody offers me anything good for it i will sell it.
