These bottles were blown for them but they held a multitude of different medicines. I am unable to make out the mark that you are talking about. Here is the one on usa md btl. Doyou suppose this was from the Baltimore glassworks. I am to understand their embossments were  a bit weaker. The original ones in the start of the war were better, produced in PA, I believe. In the beginning the Norht thought that war would be a piece of cake. They didn't even have a medical plan, so to speak, and quickly strated producing med supplies. Talk about lack of logistics. As soon as the North realized this wasn't going to be as quick and easy a war as they thought, they started producing cheaper bottles.
