Don't presently have a pic (there's one or two on the forum somewhere), but it's the colored Pheonix Bitters by John Moffat... I'm not sure a tapered octahedral (or whatever shape that is) is considered a figural. I'm keeping the paper towel companies in business wiping all the drool off of my computer . Jock, I don't happen to collect Avon bottles, milk bottles or barbed wire...But there are people who do, and I say good for them. Can you imagine how boring (and impossible) collecting would be if everyone liked the same thing?? 99.9% of all bottles would be worthless, regardless of age, color, type, etc., simply because if there are no buyers, there can be no sellers! Looks like I threw thousands of dollars down the drain on my rare poison bottles, because every single one of them dates well after 1900 . In my area of collecting (poisons), the 7 1/2" amber Norwich coffin is the rarest figural. I believe there are 4 known. While they are a rare bottle, there are other poisons that are more rare but underappreciated in my opinion. I know of some unique bottles in the irregular hexagon series that have sold for less than half of what a mint skull will bring. I think those days are coming to a close, though. Two irregulars have been sold recently around the $5K range! Then I get it and it sits on my shelf. The thrill of desire, the excitement of discovery and the anticipation of getting it on your shelf is nothing but a memory. If it weren't for digging/buying to sell/selling/trading, I wouldn't have a lot of my best bottles. I've sold and traded some bottles that I still miss, but the ones I got from doing it are sweet! The thrill of the hunt is something that I will be enjoying for life...Out of the 28 known proprietary poisons on my list, I have 5 of them, only 23 to go . The most complete collection I know of has 25 of 28.
