He was born in 1860 in Germany and came to this country in 1872
His residence was Genesse ST.

Tony,
Here is that Hurley druggist I was telling you about. I finally dug that and a clay beer from (from Milwaukee) out of storage.
The Hurley druggist is 4 1/4" tall, is a WT Millville full round, with a prescription lip.  The druggist name is A.C. Whitman. There is absolutely no damage. The only concern I have is the trade. The Hurley bottle is worth minimally 3-4 times what the Iron River bottle is. It's a really tough town to get one from, it's embossed drugs & jewelry, it's all embossed in cursive and it has Wisconsin spelled out (but so does the Iron River). The only two things it doesn't have are a picture and color. Shucks.
The Milwaukee clay bottle is stamped S. H. & Son.
You still have that extra druggist I mailed you, so let's work something out here.  Would you send pics of anything you have for trade, in addition to the Iron River bottle?  Let me know if you think I am being unfair or if you have another suggestion.
Pics to follow this one.
Bill

I'm thinking about the trade thing. I guess most folks would say that a druggist is a druggist and that maybe I should trade even-steven. Since druggists are my primary collecting avenue, I have found that isn't really true. They run in values just like blobs or anything else.
I'll wait to hear back from you.
Bill

Hello Druggistnut,
If you are planning to deal the Milwaukee pottery beer, I would be very interested. I collect early Wisconsin sodas, and beers, and the Hickey & Son quart would find a place of honor on my shelf.(That is if Tony isn't going after it)
Thanks!
Tom

Tom,
I have a Belle City Brewing Co (Racine) amber pint blob, also. It's not listed on the Wisconsin site and I was told it is extremely tough, maybe an only one known. I'm not a Wisconsin collector, that's jusr what the fella told me.
If you want, PM or email me, let me know what you have in Michigan bottles.
Bill

Hi Bill,
Somewhere around here I have an earlier hutchinson soda from Reed City Michigan. Avery & something? I cannot remember. I am going to go look for it. It came out of a local lake while diving. Any interest in that one? The Racine bottle sounds very nice. I really like your pottery beer. I missed one this past summer at an auction house near my hometown (about 25 miles from Milwaukee) It went very reasonably.
