hello everyone, I just found this forum. I have a collection of old bottles and would like some help to know how to price them to sell. I just have to much "stuff" and we may be selling our home and need to down size. Most of them were given to me as a gift, that person remembers she paid a lot for a few of them. Can some one help me out? I can send pictures (I thnk) :) It may take me a while to learn the ropes of moving around here first. I am not into doing ebay and am thinking of selling as a group not separate. There are 38 in collection, some are from a dig in another friends back yard in Stillwater MN. some were my dad's or his parents. some are NOT old but most are but I have no clue and dont want to be taken advantage of on price. I am going to try to post a picture of all of them here but then will do sep. pictures if needed. I am NOT good at searching stuff out on computer. Thanx so very much for any info. ok, it says file is to big arrg it is a reg. size photo. HELP...lol

You should be able to edit the pictures and find a link to resize the photo on whatever program you have.

We are interested in seeing your bottles.  You just have to figure out how to resize the photos.  It took me awhile to figure out and it was there in my Photo program all the time.

This has always worked for me.

1) Open your email then compose a new message.
2) Attach whatever pictures from your computer you want to upload on this forum to the email.
3) Send it to yourself.
4) When you get the email open it and the pictures are automatically resized.
5) Save those pictures again to your computer under a different name like (bottle1, bottle2 ect) so you know the difference between the two.
6) Then try and upload them on here using those pictures.

It has always worked for me? I hope this makes sense? If not email the pictures to me or anyone else and we could post them for you.

Hey Lil red, I had the same problem along with alot of other folks.............if the other suggestions dont work on how to get your pics on here, antiquenut gave me a great suggestion and it worked. Simply open your pics in the "paint" application. This should be found in your accessories program. Once you open the pic, simply "resize" the image by at least 50% vertical and horizontal and then save the pic under a new name...then you can upload it and it should work. Try it. If it doesnt work, then resize it one more time. Good luck.

Microsoft has a powertoy called Image resizer. small download and easy install. Then all you do is find photo in your folder, right click and you now have a instant resizer. It will keep original or create a new one. You have three choices of size, medium always makes my photos small enough to post. Being from Microsoft means its safe. This link is to a Microsoft web page. Image resizer is on right side of page pretty far down.

What I do is upload my photos into a uploader.  I use photobucket.com.  It's free to upload and they resize the images for you to most web specifications.  Then when you want to upload on here you can click the little picture image in your message browser and it asks to put the hyperlink in and you copy the second link in photobucket.com (The Direct Link link) and it will upload that way.

I haven't had any problems with it that way.

Trying epackage idea IF this does not work I will email to epack to post. Thank you all so much. I have been very sick and can only be on computer for a short time b-4 I feel like I'm gonna throw up~ Bear with me...It took me a whole day to take the pictures. I hope you can see the writing description I have added. If there is NO note the bottle is in good shape with no writing on it. I used a pen for size comparison. My collection is NOT great, I just wanted to get any info or hey maybe there is a treasure in these, lol
