I love local pharms/druggists as well. Being from a small PA town myself, I know how tough they can be to locate. That makes them even sweeter.  ~Jim

Nice additions indeed. Local pharmacies can sometimes be pretty common, but more often than not a local druggist will be known by only a handful of examples. We've had some really interesting threads on here in the past featuring the locals from various collections.

A handful of examples is right! When I started collecting I looked for Milford bottles and never even saw a med!
Nice pieces!

Small state and local pharmacy bottles are exploding in popularity. By small state, I mean a state small enough to collect pharms from state-wide towns, like NH and Vt. and Rhode Island...where the huge states like Penn and Texas seem to support the "local" collections.
I know NH pharms ALWAYS sell on Ebay. Even the "common" stuff.

BTW, Nice bottles! Keep the pictures coming!

I have a couple from the Milford/Port Jervis area. Nothing great though...a couple milk bottles from the Model Farm in Milford, a hutch and crown top from Port Jervis, and a neat squat-type crown from Milford (JS Rupp, I believe). I stopped trying to collect that area and focused on the Stroudsburg area after a year or so but I've always noted Milford bottles I've seen around. There haven't been all that many!

Houseman,
I know a local who has over 300 different Port Jervis bottles and I'd say  maybe 50 or more different Milford bottles. It is an awesome collection, to say the least!! i have a few of each town and am always looking to expand my collection. If you ever want to part with them I,d love to take a look!!  Happy Collecting !!! Michael

That must be an amazing collection! I didn't even know there were 50 different Milford bottles.
I'd happily trade any or all of the ones I have for something I need from my area. The bottles are a Model Farm quart and half pint (swore I had a pint but I can't find it), a Rupp squatty type clear crown top, a Gumauer (I think) hutch from Port Jervis and a dark amber tooled crown top from the Deer Park Brewery in Port Jervis.
Do you ever come across anything from out my way in Monroe County?

Gotta love the local PA bottles!  My pride and joy of my collection are the "less valuable" local bottles over any historical flasks or rare meds.  Preserving local history is more valuable than any thing else.
