I didn't know Woodies had been around that long til I found this one. It's a BIM example, kinda crude, probably a perfume or cologne (did they have a pharmacy?). Anyhow I looked em up and they first opened in MASS in 1873 then Washington D.C. in 1880. I wouldn't think it particularly rare but I've never seen another. Just thought it might interest someone..............

There is a WOODWARD & LOTHROP WASHINGTON DC, 3 1/2",SCA, tall listed in the DC Bottle Book. Its somewhat common. Yours looks earlier.
