Hi , everyone , i'm a casual collector , who picked up an old bottle recently , unfortunately , it's broken off at the neck , olive green and would be about 9 in. tall if not broken . Shape is similar to modern liquer bottles , kick-up base , I'd call it bulbous in shape , has an embossed semi-circle on shoulder , about 2 in. , base is about 4 in. wide , flaring to about 4 & 5/8ths @ shoulder. I've tried but failed to post fotos of another bottle before ; any clue ? scotty

Hey Scotty,

If all else fails, Read the Directions. Your description is not quite doing it for me. Good luck.

sounds like a "sealed" bottle to me. they could be very valuable, when not broken, but without pictures thats the best guess i can make. try opening your pic in paint and click resize in the top left and shrink it till it will post. start with like 50% and work your way down. good luck

Hey Scotty,

After rereading the fine print, I'm gonna say Benedictine for $100...

Hi to  mtfdfire22;   I see in your posted bottom note:  that you are looking for Matthews Patents.   So am I, because of the same last name.  I know about the Matthews stopper patent and the Sweeney & Matthews patent regarding the process of shilling the cavities of press-ware molds.  It took me something like fourty years to find out about that one.
I am just curious.   RED Matthews
