I found this diving over the weekend in an old RR caboose buried underwater

If the lip is ground then it is one of the relatively early blown types. From the front it appears to be.  The hand blown ones with the numbers on the front are a bit less common.

Is there any other mark's on there like a period  in MASON.S or MASON 'S
I don't see any  after  NOV 30 th  There are many variation in th RB.. look to see if there is ghosting around the lettering.....what color would you say it is  ... Sorry i could be more help  i will keep looking for you,   Kari

I think it just generally falls in the section of numbered and lettered 1858 molds.
I have heard the markings were an aid for paying workers doing piece work.

Thanks I am not to famaliar with the ball jars but as I am diving more I have found alot more some in mint comdition I gues I better learn a little more.  Even have a #13.  Thanks again
